The team fights upward to the temple portal, dials Khepri’s address 453, and confirms Vinata is inside the infinite buffet temple, while Li Na cycles her blood-warping dreads to ever-higher levels. Using Samantha’s “Damned” status to chomp the door open, Carl, Katia, and Prepotente rush in, only to find Vinata holding an Immortal tag and the bug-headed “cleric” is Khepri himself, who grants Carl ninety seconds of immortality.
