Carl detonates a thermobaric bomb in the narrow temple, killing the two cousins and three guards while his Günter spell pushes Khepri down the endless hall, but the immortal Vinata survives and wraps around him, driven insane by the Eye of the Bedlam Bride. As gods pour from the portal and Hellik appears to deliver a cryptic message for Emberus, the level-29 sluggalette Kandy “Bigs” Newton bursts from Carl’s back and buries a hatchet between Vinata’s eyes.
