Green Light in the Hail

Eight vehicles wait in four rows under an awning while Dwight the unicorn and Masterplan the guck elemental scream abuse at each other across the grid. Donut mounts the Scorpion's Bite with Katia's crossbow and a Danforth bolt sighted on Rapture, the plan being to root her in place and let Chiyome's bear cut her in half with her own car. Hailstones the size of houses start landing, the awning is destroyed, and at the green light Carl hurls a banger sphere through his own windshield, but Donut holds her shot: a one-use tank cannon unfolds from Team Sparkles' vines and blows the Bel Air of Girth the Trouble straight up in flames, spattering Donut with what is left of Masterplan. Team six is eliminated, seven teams remain, and the bugbears drive off leaving the truck alone at the start line.
