“Beatrice Is Alive”

The reveal that detonates the middle of Floor Six. On Odette's show, the host tells Carl and Donut that Beatrice (Carl's ex, Donut's owner) survived the apocalypse: bounty hunters were about to sell her illegally to Borant to be transformed into a country boss, so Odette had her spirited off-planet, now bound for the inner system. Odette is also using Bea to blackmail Borant, trading a face-saving cover story for a higher revenue share, and hints her real motive ties to whatever she once did to Mordecai. A rival program had planned to ambush Carl alone with the stolen scoop; instead Donut insists on a televised reunion. Zev is uncharacteristically terrified as she breaks the news beforehand.
