The Grull Death Challenge
Carl vs a god vs a city boss — live, 50-to-1
Pulled into trainyard E clinging to a summoned Grull, Carl triggers a Death Challenge: a live gambling spectacle (System odds of survival: 50-to-1). Grull cleaves the level-90 Mimic Rex in half while Carl flees its tongue and Jabbering Jibber-Jabber minions through smoke and invisibility. The party saves him with a Katia decoy and a second mantaur-vessel summon that ejects Grull to the abyss. The killer twist: Grull's sponsor is Prince Maestro. He's alive, faking his yacht death, making this the third time Carl humiliates him on a galactic broadcast.
