The corporate sponsor Empress D’Nadia offloads Donut’s contract to mid-Floor-Eight, to the Queen Anne Chonk’s horror: a biological waste-management firm whose branding she’s certain means garbage-truck commercials running on her feed. The handover (D’Nadia overextended buying her Faction-Wars warlord seat, and selling Donut’s sponsorship recoups the cost) lands just as Donut is supposed to be concentrating on deck combat, and becomes one more all-caps grievance.
