Princess Donut’s vast, organized fandom: a galaxy-spanning network of chapters (the fan Jenn’ifer chairs “Inner System #43”) with real funds and real clout. It has grown into an activist force: at Donut’s suggestion the Posse files an actual lawsuit against the Syndicate’s practice of preserving “lost biology” (including dog breeds) in compatible biomes, the “Society for the Eradication of Cocker Spaniels,” and the donations are pouring in. A sign of how Donut’s celebrity has become genuine political power, of a piece with her secret revolutionary work.
