The Valtay Take Borant
A regency change · the worms move in
A planet-wide admin message mid-floor: a Syndicate court declares the Borant Corporation an independent, non-governmental entity, which auto-executes a long-filed ruling granting the Valtay Corporation 51% ownership of Borant. The Borant System Government loses all stake in Earth’s crawl; existing contracts (including Mordecai’s indenture) are honored, and Carl loses the Valtay as a sponsor over the conflict of interest. Donut quietly engineered it (“Viva la revolución, Carl”) by smuggling Valtay agents to Zev’s underground. Per Lexis, the control-freak Valtay won’t tolerate the inherited top 10 and mean to “zero out” the leading crawlers at the coming Masquerade.
