Phase two splits the squad: only leaders enter the choice chamber, so a terrified Donut faces her first solo deck fight (Mongo one-shots the sailor Robert the Human). Odette has a spy probe shot from orbit to steal fifteen off-record minutes and confesses everything: the rigged-game betrayal that killed Mordecai’s brother Uzzi, her guilt over breaking Mordecai, and a plan extreme enough to kill both her and Huanxin and end the crawl for good.
