Carl and Donut are yanked away for a live appearance on Plenty of Plenty and land in a greenroom on the sea floor. Lexis, on loan to Borant while After Hours is on hiatus, tells them the Open Intellect Action Network boarded and took every major ship in orbit in a day, that Zev is now running everything alone, that Prime Minister Victory's temporary Syndicate headquarters in Florida is under attack by surviving natives, and that a confused third party is protecting the kinder facility where Katia is. Then her pad beeps, she goes white, and she briefs them on caprid customs and the interlocution.
