The Herd Stampedes

The caprid council breaks apart on air over the news that the gods are getting out. Botis and the rest bray, faint and bolt as one straight through the studio wall, leaving Gamori — Matriarch of the Plenty and the former lead engineer of its Tunnel Project — to judge Carl too dangerous to walk among the herd, then dissolve into snot-choked self-blame for having hidden the news from her own people. Harbinger teleports in behind Carl with a pulse rifle, calls Gamori Mother, and says he warned everyone about the Residuals and the unstable AI. When he levels the gun, the System AI turns him inside out across the room. Lexis, dripping, reports the episode's best ratings ever.
