The Guildmaster Under the Spotlight

The bar cleanup drags on: the bartender carries off what is left of the DJ, Dong and the regulars shovel nickels back into a sock that refuses to grow again, and Tipid and Bucket Boy haul the unconscious unicorn back to his garage. Jurgen tries to follow Carl into the hidden guild, is stopped dead at the threshold, and begs to be sent out through the Pineapple route; Carl refuses because Jurgen worships Donar, then privately admits he has no way to test whether Akuma's smite warning was ever true. Jurgen tells him Heidi has gone silent and is pregnant. Inside, the Stage Performance Guild turns out to be a dust-choked five-hundred-seat theater lit by a single spotlight, with Corcunda's missing left half lying on the stage in a white containment suit, pinned there by a jammed zipper. Carl frees him, collects free levels in his Razzmatazz skill, and learns that the womantaurs drain Corky submissive before every heat and that if Corky dies Porky dies with him. Porky agrees to come along as a hired mercenary on one condition: help thrashing Dong Quixote.
