Heat Seven of Seven

The Outreach Guild opens in Hungry Eyes and Donut declines the trip. In the garage the survivors count themselves: fifty-five hundred started the floor, a little over two hundred left through the Pineapple Cabaret, and Imani reckons fewer than a thousand remain with one race still to run. The pre-heat announcement comes from Damien, a behind-the-scenes fixture standing in while Zev is locked down at headquarters after Cascadia takes too much of her medicine and an unheard-of goddess turns up in the submerged wings. Damien pitches the deal hard, disavows the Cabaret, and reveals that garages and hired NPCs transfer to the eleventh floor, where survivors will have ninety minutes to build a themed parade float. Carl tries and fails to talk Imani into taking a deal, confirms his explosives are placed in a vertical line for the Tower of Power plan, and buys the Golden upgrade for the truck's booster rockets so it can be launched from the first floor to the roof.
