Basilica Guards

Eight-foot, golden-skinned ogre clerics in flowing robes who normally guard the Basilica Entrance of Club Vanquisher on the twelfth floor. All worship Taranis, which grants them the rare ‘Untouchable’ status (gods are forbidden to attack them) making them one of the few non-deities able to briefly bar a god from crossing a threshold (the ‘tow truck drivers of the Ascendency,’ grumpy and lonely from being universally needed and disliked). If they leave their post, untethered gods may wander out the open basilica. During the chaos they rise from below to defend the club; Carl strips their Untouchable status with Black Nimbus potions, sending them fleeing. One is named Brother Widespread Tempest (Level 125).
