Eva Sigrid

Katia's old friend from Reykjavik: an economics professor who entered the dungeon clutching Katia's arm, then abandoned her on Floor 3 to reconnect with Hekla (who had been Eva's psychiatrist). Now a five-foot, four-armed, cobra-headed Nimblefoot Enforcer (Level 27) with thirteen skulls and twin sabers, she is Hekla's fixer and dirty-work specialist. Cruel and contemptuous of the naive Katia, she goads her into the rage that ends with Hekla dead, then is flung from the train and vanishes, alive but unaccounted for.

Book 3 appearances

• Chapter 21 — Arrives with Brynhild’s Daughters to collect Katia: Hekla’s skull-laden enforcer, watching Carl like “a can of Fancy Feast.”
• Chapter 23 — Mocks Katia into a breakdown over being abandoned on Floor 3, triggering the fatal Rush.
• Chapter 24 — Loses a hand, is thrown from the train by an undead Hekla, and disappears: still alive in Katia’s chat, location unknown.
