The Ghoul Generators

Top-of-the-line devices, powered by the same volatile soul crystals that ran Miss Quill's spell and became Carl's Doomsday bomb, stationed at certain stops (12: Jikininki, 72: Blister Ghouls). Each spawns one new ghoul per non-undead mob death on the floor: a self-feeding loop that makes the Iron Tangle an almost perpetual monster engine. They can't simply be blown up: overload a soul crystal and it becomes a province-flattening bomb, as one 300-person team learns the hard way.
