What the drug crisis turns the floor into
The endgame of the floor's Rev-Up addiction: when stranded mobs miss their dose, withdrawal ravages them in three stages. Stage one is violent tremors; half simply drop dead, and those stage-one dead don't stay down — they rise as Festering Ghouls. The survivors hit stage two (doubled strength, no reason, will attack anything), and those who don't die there progress to stage three, a monstrous tentacled mutation that's always fatal. The whole machine is designed to cage and recycle them, but it's breaking down faster than it can cope, the ghoul population pushing toward a 'critical mass' nobody can predict.
