Lore · debuts Book 4, Chapter 18 — “Loita”
The Great Consensus
anti-syndicate isolationist philosophy
A galaxy-wide philosophy, explained by Rishi, holding that the Syndicate was a mistake and every system is better off alone. Carl first heard the term from the kua-tin Loita. Benign in principle but often twisted into xenophobia: the kua-tin Bloom party preaches racial purity against ‘dry’ races, the mantids disdain weaker species, and Vinata's naga faction planned to steal their fleet and flee for a generation in a direction no tunnel thread points. Rishi claims to reject it even as he leverages the chaos it caused.
