Creature · debuts Book 6, Chapter 27 — “The Key Hunt”
La Ciguapa
Legendary charm-luring mob · backward feet
A Legendary Dominican-folklore creature, a hairy woman with backward-facing feet, found asleep under dead foliage off the swamp road. She can lure opponents with a charm ability and is nearly unkillable except by familiars and pets, so Mongo pounces and chomps her dead before Carl can even examine her for a deck flag, wasting a one-of-a-kind totem. She still drops two cards: the uncommon snare Damnation (forces an enemy totem to be discarded when it times out, dead or not) and the mythic, one-use Glow-Up, which permanently bakes a card’s current buffed state into the card itself.
Book 6 appearances
- Chapter 27 — Mongo kills her before Carl can flag her, but proves a familiar can drop her, and she yields the Damnation and Glow-Up cards.
