Lore · debuts Book 6, Chapter 15 — “The Thorn Room”
The Phantasm (Bomo’s Reanimated Armor)
Donut & Carl’s anti-undead buzzsaw combo
A two-part combat exploit Carl and Donut debut against the city boss Asojano. First Carl builds Bomo a “Scrapheap Breastplate”: dozens of trash-tier metal plates and daggers individually sewn onto an undershirt. In the fight Donut casts Laundry Day, blasting the armor off Bomo into a roomful of loose blades, then her new spell Legionnaires of the Damned, which floods the scattered pieces with wailing ghosts. The reanimated metal swirls into a screaming, buzzsaw tornado that shreds the boss: devastating against non-corporeal enemies, since every piece is possessed. Mordecai's rule (the metal must have been recently equipped on a body) is why it must be built onto Bomo rather than dumped in a pile. Donut loathes Carl's name for it.
