The dungeon’s sanctimonious bear-folk
Large, bear-like humanoids: “49% bear, 51% racist uncle who works for the IRS.” After Scolopendra wiped out everyone but their clerics, the formerly-brutal Ursine evolved into a prim, rule-obsessed theocracy straight out of Footloose: no fighting, no alcohol, no dancing, no singing outside a temple, and absolutely no dinosaurs. They keep immaculate, sweet-smelling towns and look down on everyone, especially their bugbear rivals. Mayor Elmer (Lv 40) refuses to let Mongo through his gate: a mistake that ends with him tumbling down the riverbank and into a waiting naiad.
