War Mages
dungeon-born symbiote casters
One of the few truly dungeon-born entities, war mages were never designed: they emerge naturally from overuse of You're Not Done Yet. A flesher (a corpse's ripped-off skin) consumes a living being and re-sleeves it, casts Boned to reanimate the skeleton, and the pair becomes a symbiote; after roughly 12–16 re-sleevings the magic itself turns sapient and the three creatures fuse into one war mage that knows hundreds of spells. Because showrunners reuse them across seasons (memory-wiped in quests and merc guilds), some are very old: a fact the Rebellion is now exploiting. A dead war mage's head explodes into a ‘Sapient Moment of Destruction’ about ten minutes later.
