This Inevitable Ruin

King Rust reveals his daughter Princess Formidable has hijacked a cruiser to manually trigger the system failsafe through a Skull Empire backdoor, dooming the entire solar system in five hours, and begs Carl to plead with her on humanity’s behalf. As Rust withdraws his army after negotiating, Rosetta bursts from the ground with a tech cloak and whip and decapitates him, while in an interlude the gargoyle cookbook author Volteeg fills a Weeper tank with explosives and detonates it in the Bloc’s center, killing over 10,000 and wiping out the Operatic Collective.
