The War Leaves the Dungeon

In a zero-zone exit meeting Carl declines every deal, learns the tenth floor is the vehicle race “Don’t Come in Last,” and is blindsided when Donut’s assigned attorney, Princess Chandra, turns out to be his new in-dungeon wife. Two interludes widen the war: the hollow tenodera poet York, who secretly vaporized an orc yacht full of children aboard the Homecoming Queen, helps launch Porthus’s new resistance as Boomer declares they have won Faction Wars and will bring the war out of the dungeon; and at the embargoed Squirties waystation, the newly freed goddess of chaos Eris attacks a ruined refueler named Zander.
