A flightless tenodera crawler, smaller and less aggressive cousin of the mantids, who serves as the sole living crew and ‘ghost’ of the orbiting Crest behemoth Homecoming Queen. Bred-in emotional numbness left him a compulsive, mournful poet; tasked by Rosetta with a side mission, he vaporized a small yacht of children that included the new orc king with the ship's NPB, a weapon actually meant for point defense, feeling nothing. Homecoming Queen also carries a full, still-secret complement of enhancement-zone guns and beams, never deployed, that gives the ship its real strength in orbit. A Game Guide and Poetry-guild instructor who authored the Tenth Edition of the Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook, he ends the book becoming a captain in the new resistance, the Open Intellect Action Network, finally feeling something as the war moves out of the dungeon.
