Rend resurrects giggling. Because it is his sixth death he keeps his memories and identity, comes back larger and 25% stronger, and picks up potatoes as a new random weakness. Carl decides to keep him in the pet carrier between fights; Imani offers the guild's pet stables, where Gonk and Simoom live. Tipid and Rosetta return with a fleshmancer found, a lead that the performance guild is hidden inside a bar Carl has already visited, and the last two mercenaries in town: a pair of level 25 Jikininki ghouls.
