Guild Pet Stables

The stables attached to the crew's guild, offered by Imani as somewhere Rend can get exercise without being loose in the safe room or near the undead mercenaries. Gonk the yak is kept there, and Simoom the rhino ended up there by accident: when everything was moved around on the fly to prepare for Katia's departure, she was lost in the shuffle rather than sent to the twelfth floor. Imani says Simoom loves Gonk.

Book 8 appearances

• Chapter 26 — Raised in chat as an alternative to keeping Rend in his carrier. Carl had assumed both animals went to the twelfth floor with everyone else.
• Chapter 61 — The guild's pet stables now hold Rend, Gonk, Simoom and Penelope together, reportedly all having a great time, and they are half the reason Prepotente decides he wants to conjoin his space to the guild.
• Chapter 62 — Where Carl finds Dong Quixote before the heat, showing Porky the guild's mounts — Gonk penned and happily eating, Simoom snorting beside her, Sir Rendlegore playing with Penelope — and where Carl dumps a load of frozen chicken patties.
• Chapter 69 — The advanced version of the room, significantly bigger than Prepotente's, and the venue for the eleventh-floor council because it is a secondary guild add-on room the gods cannot see into. Combining the two guilds should take it to level 5 and add the Stablemaster benefit with three more mercenary slots; the party had level 5 before and lost it when Li Na left. Rend, Mongo, Gonk and Penny the pig are all in it.
• Chapter 70 — The stables serve as the party's secure room for the planning session, because no deity can send or receive a message inside them, and the animals housed there are why Samantha comes looking.
