The Abyss Rescue
Carl portals hundreds of stranded crawlers to safety
With hundreds of hatless crawlers trapped at the edge of the abyss and unable to reach the stairwells, Carl improvises a floor-spanning rescue. Pairs of Growler Gary-powered interdiction carts run down each blocked line: the first set to 'abyss,' sweeping the track clear of crashed trains and stage-3 monsters; the second set to a trainyard, teleporting the waiting crawlers to safety. Each cart is tagged with a deafening Billboard-hit alarm trap ('Physical' by Olivia Newton-John) so people downline hear it coming. It works: Bautista watches it rain trains and monsters into the pit, and groups reach the yards alive.
