Growler Gary

The grief-stricken, blackout-drunk bartender of the Downward Dog: the only survivor of Station 75, magically barred from leaving his bar to fight while his friends (and his beloved driver crush, Jumping Jen-Jen) died at the door. He's an indestructible NPC: killed, he regenerates within minutes, because his severed left hands are the keys that start the interdiction carts. Carl has Mongo kill him fourteen times for his hands, a quietly devastating sequence, with Gary finally choosing to walk to the bar and face it bravely.
