Biscuit Packs
Hardening foam potion ball
A thicker relative of the Denial of Service missiles, thrown by hand from the ghoul cages. Each ball bursts into a roughly three-metre foam explosion that pops outward like popcorn and cures in seconds to the consistency of rock — the same principle as construction and boat-repair foam, only instant. Against the sugar hermit waves each one snags dozens at a time and then rolls off as a barrier, which is exactly what the crew wanted from a weapon chosen before they knew what they would be facing.
Book 8 appearances
- Chapter 31 — Hurled one after another from the swinging cages into the oncoming wave; the foam sets instantly, traps dozens of hermits per ball and leaves screaming lumps rolling along the roadside.
- Chapter 76 — Thrown at the swarm from the truck's roof — each small explosion catches two or three beetles at once and drops them out of the air in a cloud of expanding foam, which is as close to killing them as anything gets.
