The temple-desecration “prize”
A “good news/bad news” box awarded for desecrating a temple’s sacred shrine, which Carl does, accidentally, by falling through the roof of the Temple of Diwata in the village of Alucarda and shattering the shrine with his body. Instead of loot it brands him with the Enemy of the Church (Diwata) tattoo: a flaming ball of snakes that can’t be hidden, makes every Diwata adherent attack him on sight, and grants +50% damage against them (stacking his Emberus bonus).
