Emberus
Blind feral fire god · hunting his lost dog
The feral god Carl’s gate looses onto Floor 5: Emberus, a colossal blind fire god taller than a bubble is high, who plucked out his own eyes when his favorite son died and now kills by setting faces aflame. He stampedes across the popped bubbles, torching Lyrx Elf villages and igniting oil derricks, bellowing one name: “Orthrus,” his beloved puppy, lost into the Nothing the day his son was murdered. Unable to see into intact bubbles, he smashes every opened one in his search, mistaking the dog-soldier crawler Tserendolgor for his dog. Samantha (Psamathe), his estranged kin, warns he gives no rewards and once buried a whole country in lava over a single snuffed-out torch.
