Who Let the Gods Out (the Gate Used)

Swallowed by the City Boss Lusca with no way to win, Carl does the thing the whole floor steered him toward: with all three Gate pieces in hand he dials the winding box to a spot outside Pandinus and teleports himself, Katia and Tran away from the wrecked Akula on the ocean floor, knowingly tearing a two-way hole into the Nothing. (He kills Lusca on the way out anyway, with a self-propelled Protective Shell and Katia’s dangling “Leatherface” buzzsaw.) The “Who Let the Gods Out?” achievement spells out the cost: a feral god now walks Floor 5, and the other gods tend to react. Everyone is herded into safe rooms as the world begins to rumble.
