The Escape Velocity

Unlike the colored lines that only ever climb, the Escape Velocity (I, II, III…) is a named train that loops back and stops at clusters of stairwell stations: genuinely the fast way down, exactly as the gremlin Widget promised. A rare honest shortcut on a floor where the staff are otherwise steering crawlers into the mouths of Station Mimics, so trust is hard-won.
