Fall of the Madness

Trapped by a dead-man's-switch fire trap he cannot disarm, Carl heals Architect Houston to keep him alive while rescuing Burcu, but the plan collapses: the table tips, Burcu falls, and Carl casts Gloom Wraith Phase to escape, passing through and unraveling Houston as the Sheol fire erupts. Houston dies mid-rapture, believing he has finally found the Beautiful Place; Burcu is lost. The System credits Carl with the kill, defeats the Madness, and awards all its assets to the Princess Posse, but the win immediately triggers the Peeling Phase.
