Katia’s Four Addictions
The full toll of Katia's self-destruction, laid out by Mordecai once Imani begins curing her. She is hooked on four narcotics: Travis Priest, a vicious, highly addictive painkiller (cured first, hence the rainbow vomiting); Creamsicle Charm, ground fairy wings that work like shrooms and dull worry; blitz sticks, weed-plus-hallucinogen that shows false memories (cured with a skin patch worn for days); and Glory Bound, the worst: a single dose drops her into a coma to fully relive a memory, and without more she slowly goes insane, its only cure a deliberate bad trip through one of her worst memories. Curing the addiction can't undo the harm: she has scrambled her stats, permanently lost Constitution and Charisma, gained Strength, forgotten a spell or two, and will be susceptible to addictive magic forever.
