The defenses of the funnel city of Larracos: ~66 ring-levels spiralling down into a smoke-filled pit (Arief notes not all rings fully encircle the city, so the true count is uncertain), explosive traps on alternating down-ramps, red jewels mounted atop automated attack towers that fire Fire Lance blasts, and the throne-room castle kept submerged so attackers must swim. The whole system is steered from the throne room, currently by warlord Ferdinand through the unkillable Valtay-worm adjutant Drick.
