The Makoka Cloud
A ring of asteroids just beyond the limit of the center system's sphere of influence which, over the last few thousand years, has become one of the most densely populated non-terrestrial settlements in the known galaxy — and one of the poorest, known for crime as much as for crowding. Sydnee Iglacia's complex, officially SCC 5 and nicknamed the Observation Deck, is a self-contained habitat in the Saccathian quarter with oxygen, power and tunnel access bundled into the rent, which counts as luxurious out here. Until days ago it belonged to a holding group controlled by the Prism; with D'Nadia dead, whoever runs the Skull Empire has swallowed the group's real estate, tripled the rent and stopped including the air. Out here there are no homegrown censors either, so the Cloud is one of the few places getting the crawl unfiltered.
