Pox Slug (SlugPox)

The disease Carl catches by flagging the dying plague-orisha Asojano at point-blank range: SlugPox. Boils swell and burst across his body, each popping into a toothed, thumb-sized slug, and every new slug spawns a level higher than the last (level 1, then 2, then 3…), getting bigger and nastier as the infection runs. The little monsters screech endearments at “daddy” and hurl themselves at whoever's nearest; Mongo gleefully snaps each one out of the air on “slug duty.” Harmless at first, the escalation makes it something Carl has to get cured fast at the Club Vanquisher's All Healer.
