Quest: Half a prayer, half a song

Part two of the quest that opened when Dong Quixote and Corcunda each learned the other was still alive. Carl and Donut are to find a fleshmancer and recombine Corky and Porky, which would release the reformed mantaur from his obligation to race for the Lady Dominators. The quest fails outright if Dong dies before it is finished. The reward is two stand-ins of Carl's choosing, drawn from anywhere in the AI's sphere of influence, summoned to the arena on the eleventh floor.

Book 8 appearances

• Chapter 24 — Issued the moment part one closes on Dong's collapse; the AI drops a line about the fate of all biological life hinging on which personality survives the merge, then insists that is silly and not the same thing.
