Character · debuts Book 8, Chapter 13 — “The Womantaurs and the Half”
Corcunda
Half-mantaur · nicknamed Corky · Dong Quixote's lost friend
A mantaur split vertically down the middle, left standing on one right leg with a right arm and a second right arm above it, and sealed into a shiny black vinyl bodysuit with a zipper at the mouth to keep his insides in place. Chiyome says halfsies rarely last long and that this one used to be a dancer. The System names him as Dong Quixote's best friend, nicknamed Corky; his missing half is nicknamed Porky, and rejoining them requires a fleshmancer. He waves at Carl's group from garage number three as the door comes down, with Free Bird playing behind him.

- Chapter 23 — Bucket Boy places him as Corky, drugged and on the fifth-place team in the garage two doors over, which sends Dong straight at their door.
- Chapter 24 — The AI's quest text lays out the split: two halves with identical memories up to the moment of the spell, diverging since, one of whom will die on the tenth floor unless a fleshmancer recombines them.
