Carl meets Nico, a level 91 Tigran Greaser; Dario at the wheel of their Tigr APV; Pontiff, a level 83 Taurin Rhythm Rider hired as team muscle, whose vibrating hammer keeps the weather off the group; and Penelope, a level 5 Yorkshire sow both Tigrans consider their wife, magically protected by Taranis, who is himself besotted with her thanks to a stray Touch of Maw-Loo. Bucket Boy recognises Pontiff as the dancer Damascus sent back to the mercenary market. Passing the Lady Dominators' GTO, Carl notes Corcunda curled asleep in the back seat under an Unconscious notification, and beyond the group, the boss sits waiting in the road.
