The Royal Chariot

Carl and Katia's answer to the dunes: a crude, low-slung tracked ATV built on the engineering and metalworking benches from a salvaged interdiction-cart engine, with a snowmobile-style rubber-coated track in back and two steerable rubber wheels up front. The single-gear magical engine runs silent; the whole rig breaks into two inventory-portable halves. The System dubs it the “Tracked All-Terrain Suicide Machine” (no roll cage, terrible center of gravity, impressive catapult impersonation the moment it hits a rock), but it works, and Donut names it the Royal Chariot before it's even finished.

Book 4 appearances

• Chapter 3 — Conceived after the Drop Bear ambush proves they can’t cross the dunes on foot.
• Chapter 4 — Built and field-tested; Katia’s Earth Hobby engine knowledge makes the design possible.
