Special Guest Creature

A System designation carried by certain tenth- and eleventh-floor monsters. It comes with a long, chatty aside about where the creature came from, and it hands whoever kills it a decision: keep it dead and take regular experience, or give the corpse's fate to a thirty-second audience vote without being told what the audience is choosing between. The System recommends the vote on the grounds that it will be more fun. Donut kills Miss Talulah, takes the second option, and the result is still pending when the party drives on.

• Chapter 4 — Miss Talulah's description opens with the designation and marks her a special guest for the tenth and eleventh floors; Donut's follow-up notification offers the two options and nudges her toward the vote.
