Lore · debuts Book 8, Chapter 38 — “The Pineapple Cabaret”
The Framework
The dungeon's reusable shell
The physical core a dungeon is built on, described by Akuma as the shell holding the stored mobs, the reusable locations and some of the indentured workers. It is one object, moved from planet to planet and reinstalled every season, the third-to-last component to go into a world. Showrunners feed a season's plans and software into it; the macro AI then goes into the planet's Primal Engine, and an NPC wakes up believing it is a palace guard.
Book 8 appearances
- Chapter 38 — Akuma explains it while trying to make Carl understand the exploit, comparing it to a crawler's inventory scaled up enormously, and notes the forced memories it installs are thin enough that NPCs notice.
