The Tracksuit Troika
Three Russian crawlers · Elle's name for them, not theirs
A trio of Russian crawlers who raced a Cadillac on Floor 11 and mostly kept to themselves. Elle McGibbons hung the nickname on them even though it was not their team's actual name, and Carl knew nothing else about them. They had served under Jurgen during Faction Wars, and he did not hold a high opinion of any of them. They told Elle they were taking deals and leaving; she knew they were lying when no notification came, and hoped they were only drunk again. Elle and Imani C had a plan for handling the Russians in the final heat, and then the grouping put Chris Andrews 2 in that heat too and made the plan irrelevant. At the starting blocks their Cadillac sat floating on a cushion of air.
Book 8 appearances
- Chapter 79 — Elle called the three Russian crawlers the Tracksuit Troika even though that was not their name; all Carl knew was that their car was a Cadillac, that they kept to themselves, and that they had been under Jurgen during Faction Wars, who thought little of them.
- Chapter 80 — Their Cadillac, floating on a cushion of air, turned up in the final-heat grouping alongside Imani and Elle's APV and Chris's red semitruck.
- Chapter 81 — Elle revealed the trio had claimed they were taking deals, and that she had known they were lying as soon as no notification arrived; she and Imani had a plan for the Russians, but none for Chris.
