Tripper
A spell that remotely triggers nearby traps and explosives. Carl first gains access to it in Book 4 via Drakea's Enchanted Kerchief of Disorder, which lets the wearer cast a level-15 Tripper once every five hours, automatically triggering all passage, motion, heat, and weight-based traps in a certain radius. He first casts it on-page soon after, setting off every trap in a wide radius, and casts it again moments later amid a cavalcade of explosions. Carl later casts it dramatically on a rooftop after his Find Trap skill reveals a cluster of Reaver automatons rigged with proximity-trip satchel charges, detonating them all at once and cratering the enemy's massed cyborgs, though the blast also flattens his own people and Tina. King Rust is later revealed to hold a level-15 Tripper, giving each of Carl's Tripper-resistant field traps a 90% chance to blow anyway, making it a coveted high-level utility spell.
