Tserendolgor (“Ren”)
A former Mongolian fashion model turned crawler, “Ren,” whose body was sculpted into a dog after a jealous ex stabbed her and her real dog years before the collapse. She crawls with a flamethrower-breastplate named Velma, a near-immortal tummy-acher pet (Garret), and a squad of childhood friends from her tiny village: the stone-skinning tank Chuluuna and his wife Khulan. Donut has feuded with her since Tserendolgor cheated Mongo out of a pet-show win. On Floor 8, holding a Cuba key, she refuses to fight Carl, calling him the dungeon's symbol of hope, and instead, after Chuluuna is killed by his own totem and Khulan is broken, donates all her gear, wills Garret to Carl, confesses the pet-show cheat to Donut, and blows herself up rather than give the producers their fight.
Book 6 appearances
- Chapter 57 — Holds the Capitol stairwell against Quan with her squad; the teleport traps at her door scatter her tank Khulan across the city.
- Chapter 58 — Her flamethrower Velma and her totem (the Mongolian Death Worm Basquiat) shred the chamber, until a Toss-Up turns the worm onto her own husband Chuluuna, killing him.
- Chapter 59 — Rather than fight Carl for the last key, she wills him Garret, Velma and her cards, confesses the old pet-show cheat to Donut, and commits to detonating a wrist bracer: a sacrifice to deny the show its fight.
- Chapter 60 — Says her goodbyes and detonates the wrist bracer, collapsing the dome above her; her name is posted to the deceased crawlers folder.
