Character · debuts Book 4, Chapter 7 — “New Sponsors”
Veriluxx RealPet Companions
Donut's sponsor · toy company
Donut’s new sponsor and the source of her lifelong dream: merch. A budget toy company that makes “nearly-indestructible” licensed RealPet Companion dolls of crawlers, no implant certificate required: “for the children.” Loita books Donut, Carl, and Mongo onto an infomercial to review a “product sample,” which arrives as a defective robot Donut whose onboard AI is mixed with Garfield (“I sure do like lasagna”) and glitches into cosmic dread. Mongo decapitates it on sight. Donut is torn between rage at the shoddy product and ecstasy that she finally has merch.

- Chapter 18 — Hosts the underwater infomercial (cowboy soother Gravo and “Professor Liddi”) where Carl rigs the doll to kill Loita; parent firm Veritan Linkage is outed as a pro-slavery lender.
