Carl, Acolyte of Emberus
A faith — and two church quests
Carl's desperation-worship of Emberus sticks: he's now an Acolyte of the Sun and Ash god, marked with twin glowing sun tattoos on his hands. The faith brings real perks (burn immunity, temple maps, Club Vanquisher access, bonus XP against Hellik's followers, a boon every five days) against fussy rules: a daily blood offering, a 5% gold tithe Donut loathes, and no Hellik-blessed gear. It also saddles him with two long-arc church quests: “Find Out Who Killed My Son” (the murdered Geyrun, which bars him from leaving Floor 18 until solved) and “Kill Hellik” (Emberus's twin, before Floor 12, for a Celestial God Box).
